I am searching for the burial sites of my 4th great-grandmother, Francis (Fanny) Crittenden Austin and her brother Thomas Crittendon. I would also like to find descendants of Thomas. (The name could be spelled either Crittenden or Crittendon.) Also, does anyone know of Mrs. J. Davis McKinney, Rt. 2, Greensburg, LA? ANY help would be appreciated. The Crittendens settled in St. Helena Parish. To this day, there is a Crittenden's creek near Greensburg. Francis (Fanny) Austin, mother of William and Richard Austin, was a Crittenden. Her brother and his children, as well as she, lived in St. Helena parish from 1803 until the mid-1860s. Info from Joel Foster Bible, Phinney & Co., Buffalo, 1851, in possession of Mrs. J. Davis McKinney, Rt. 2, Greensburg, LA: "Thomas Crittendon, son of William and Eleanor Crittenden, was born February in the state of VA and d. Sep. 15, 1843, in St. Helena, LA. THANNY(? or Fanny) AUSTIN, sister of Thomas Crittenden and dau. of William and Eleanor Crittenden, b. Apr. 27, 1766, in the State of GA, Richmond Co., d. Aug. 10, 1863, in LA in the Parish of St. Helena." Regards, Bill Austin
