Park waives fee in time for Arts and Crafts Day > > > April 24, 2001 > > > SPRINGFIELD - Admission fees to Tickfaw State Park will be waived for the first annual Arts and Crafts Day Saturday, said Brad Lavigne, wildlife educator/curator. Officials with the park in Springfield requested the waiver and were informed of its approval from the Baton Rouge main office after an advance article ran in The Daily Star Monday. More than 30 vendors will gather at the park's Nature Center, 27225 Patterson Road, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Call (225) 294-2218 for more information.
