GENEALOGICAL SEMINAR Louisiana Lecturers-Louisiana Topics The annual seminar of the Louisiana Genealogical and Historical Society will be held on Saturday April 28th, from 9-4, at the Days Inn Conference Center, 10245 Airline Highway, Baton Rouge. Mary Linn Wernet, Head Archivist of the Cammie Henry Research Center, Northwestern Louisiana University, Natchitoches, will present "Illuminating the Lives Before," an introduction to the resources at the center. "Who Were the 700 Louisiana Students at a Kentucky College in the 1800s?" will be the topic of Emory Charles Webre, MRE, New Orleans native and St. Louis teacher. Wilbur Meneray PhD., Tulane University Assistant Dean for Special Collections, will offer insights into "The Ethnic Diversity of Louisiana." A topic of interest to all genealogists, "Genealogical Standards: What Are They? How Do They Concern Me?" will be presented by Houma native and professional researcher Claire Mire Bettag, CGRS. Registration is $17.50 for members and $27.50 for non-members until April 1st ($22.50 and $32.50 after that date). The meeting and seminar will include coffee breaks, lunch, and free parking. On-site registration will be from 8-9 a.m.-"early bird" door prize at 9. Hébert Publications, Banner Press, and others will have books for sale. Send registration to P.O.
