Hi Patricia, IOOF stands for Independent Order of Odd Fellows, a very old & honorable fraternity. The PG stands for Past Grand meaning he was head of his lodge at some time during his membership. The members are called Brothers, so his obit in the paper would have him listed as such. I am a member of the female branch of the IOOF.....the Rebekahs.
