    2. Hello: I am trying to locate an address where I can obtain the book entitled Charlene which is a biography of Charlene Marie Richard of Richard, Louisiana. I am told that the book is in its third printing and was written by Barbara Gutierrez, former editor of the Acadiana Catholic, Lafayette diocesan newspaper. I contacted my local Catholic bookstore here in Texas and they find no listing; however, a July national newspaper states that the book is now available and in its third printing, but did not mention a publisher. The newspaper article states that many consider Charlene to be a saint and that her tomb in Richard, Louisiana, has become a shrine and that there have been numerous claims of miracles. Thank you in advance for your help in my locating where I can purchase this book. Richard D. Culbertson, Fort Worth, Texas

    2. Forgot to include that the below URL has an excellent article on all the info included on the different years cards, as well as a graphic of what the cards look like. This is for MO, but the cards were all printed the same. Joyce <A HREF="http://www.slcl.lib.mo.us/slcl/sc/sc-ww1-q.htm">WWI Draft Cards-sample & explanation</A> or http://www.slcl.lib.mo.us/slcl/sc/sc-ww1-q.htm

    2. Many parishes have the info from the cards online at: <A HREF="http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/isearch"> </A>U<A HREF="http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ussearch.htm">SGenWeb Archives Search Page</A> or http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ussearch.htm Put the words: Draft Registration Cards into the query option & click LA, then click search Doesn't look like all parishes are online, but the microfilm is available from the LDS library. Also, all the info included in the online databases is not the same.........some have more info than others. Also remember to look at the ones that don't have a parish listed. Joyce
