I am trying to locate information on my grandmother Elizabeth (nee Strain) McElroy born 1865 in New Orleans LA to Ellen RAY and John STRAIN. My father was born in 1885 at 311 Walnut Street in Camden NJ to Elizabeth and Daniel Michael McElroy. Daniel was a resident of Philadelphia, PA at the time. Soon after my fathers birth Elizabeth was lost track of and rumor had it that she had returned to New Orleans, LA.
