Ethel, I didn't make a list of the names; only the page numbers, and none were what I would call "near". Matthew Bushnell was on page 146, and there were Gordons only as close as 18 pages away. I can go back and do another search for them tomorrow if you need the names of the Gordons in 1860 Rapides Parish. Perhaps someone else with index access can get them for you sooner. That would be fine, and greatly appreciated. I am having much trouble finding my Thomas Jefferson Gordon. Perhaps he went by Jefferson Gordon at times or TJ, so I widen my search. Any help will be appreciated. Ethel.
