Linda, thanks for the info on the 1840 census. I sure do appreciate it. As far as any male children, I know Nicolas Traca and (wife) Rosalie Buras had 10 children: 1. Basiilia Traca October 28, 1812 ( female, married to Manus Isaac / Isaac Manus) 2. Basilio Traca November 24, 1814 ( I'm guessing a male) 3. Nicholas Traca 1815 4. Son Traca August 27, 1816 to August 27, 1816 5. Rosalie Traca 1818 (married John Aolphe Herbert) 6. Lucien Traca 1820 ( I'm guessing a male) 7. Melodie Sophie Traca (married to William Henry Castlen) 8. Elizabeth Traca (married Leo T. Craig) 9. Dometille Traca July 13, 1830 (female - married Julien Louis Giordano) 10. Leonidas Traca July 12, 1834 (I'm guessing a male) I'm wondering if any of the daughters (and husbands) inherited Nicolas' land as he was suppose to have a plantation. I'm also wondering about Iberville Parish. I'm not familliar with the parish boundaries but I know one of Nicolas' daughters, Melodie and her husband, Wm Henry Castlen were found in Iberville Parish in 1850. Thanks for any and all help!! It's very, very much appreciated. I tried every spelling I could think of, plus a soundex search of 1850 LA and found none in 1850. 1840 West Baton Rouge, Louisiana - page 61 Nicholas Tracca - 1 male age 50-60 - 1 female 5-10, 1 female 10-15, 1 female 15-20, 1 female 40-50 Much luck in your search, Linda in Georgia Census/Cemetery Lookup Volunteer Genealogy is my ONLY business.
