Thank you, thank you! the Bushnell info is very helpful. I appreciate all that work. These are my ancestors. I would like to find more on Mathew Bushnell and Roseanna Charbonneau, like where they lived in Rapids (or ?), and what happened to her. I note that he remarried to Hyacinthe Aucoin, and wonder if Roseanna died. Mathew and Roseanna were my gr. gr. grandparents. Their daughter, Lucretia Bushnell, married Thomas Jefferson Gordon. They were my gr. grandparents. I am trying to pinpoint where and when these people lived prior to 1870. Later TJ Gordon and Lucretia moved to Calcasieu Parish(1870 census), but all records must have burned in the fire of 1910 in Lake Charles. I find nothing on Thomas J. Gordon before 1870.
