I know this is a difficult request. Can anyone tell me if there is a Lester or Luster family in 1860 LA where the wife is Mary E. born 1835 AL and one daughter is Sallie J. born 1857 LA. Elaine, I checked the index for 1870 Louisiana. In Lafayette there were Latiolais heads of household named Adele, Alfred, F. B., Marie and Rebecca. There were others in St. Martin's Parish, but none named Jack. There was one Angel Senegal in Lafayette, who turned out to be a 21-year-old black female with a young black male, Edward, whose age was given as 9. I also checked 1880 Lafayette, and found one Jack Latiolais.
