J. O. LeBlanc, son of Joseph Casimire LeBlanc, was born in Port Barre, LA, on 18 June 1860. He was a merchant and one of the incorporators of Port Barre. He died in New Orleans on 16 April 1916, but his body was sent to Opelousas. He was buried from St. Landry's Catholic Church, but no mention of the burial site is given. His son, my grandfather, never mentioned the location to anyone. J. O. LeBlanc was not listed in the book on the large cemetery in Opelousas, nor are any of his LeBlanc relatives. John Oliver's wife died 20 years later. She was buried with her family at Lower Waxia Cemetery, near Port Barre. If he happened to have been buried there, his grave could have been washed away many years ago. Many thanks for any ideas or suggestions! John Gaudin
