I am looking for the gravesites of John C. Collins who died in 1866 and lived in St. Landry Parish when he died. I am also looking for Charles Ward Collins who died in 1904 and lived in Franklin county. It is rumored that he was buried in a country cemetery out of Wisner near Winnsboro, La.which is in Franklin County. It is in a abandoned cemetary going toward Turkey Creek. The grave is no longer with a marker. It has been bulldozed and is on a slope near an abandoned r oad in this cemetary. A family by the name of Jesse Holden who lives near there knows where h e is buried. If anyone can shed light on this, I would appreciate it. mjivy@aol.com
Winnsboro and Turkey Creek are quite a few miles apart.
