Dr Rice, I'd never heard of the Sarvis tree so this really helps answer my questions about my Tutt ancestors. Family stories and census records seemed to have the Tutts including T K Tutt Sr living in/around the area I knew as Gosneyville, so the Sarvis Bend reference made me wonder if they had left for a time. My mother and grandfather were both born at the T K Tutt Jr farm at Gosneyville and they visited many years ago when the old post office building was still standing near the house. My Grand Aunt Daisy Crawford Tutt was the postmaster when the last piece of mail left in 1941. Unfortunately, by the time I went to Wolfe County, the house and buildings were gone and there was cabin there.. Thanks so much the help, Judy On 7/21/2014 7:17 PM, billthel wrote: > > Ms. Aguilar, > I'll take a shot at this. The Thomas Tutt family lived in the > Gosneyville-Bethel-Spradley Bridge area. Judy, When I saw your first query, I thought Sarvis Bend sounded familiar, but I couldn't place it. Thanks to Bill and Thelma for refreshing my memory. Sherman Sanford Shackelford and Matilda Tutt were my great-grandparents. Feel free to contact me off list if you want to swap info/ pictures/ stories.
