Richard Allen "Richie" Tays, 29, of Winchester passed away on Sat., Oct. 22, 2011 in Irvine, KY. Survivors include his mother, Dawn Tays (Robert) Johnson of Winchester; his father, Richard Jones of Atlanta, GA; brother, Kevin Johnson of Winchester; sister, Stacey Johnson of Winchester; grandmother, Laverne Jones of Winchester; nephew and niece Grant and Grace Gross; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Katherine Tays. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m., Wed., Oct. 26 at Scobee Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Lee Cruse. Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Tays, Danny Wallace, Mike Walden, Chuck Wells, Darrin Tays, Chad Renner, Justin Gross, and Cody Gross.
