He was born in Wolfe County, Kentucky, May 26, 1927, the son of Collins Back and Martha (Taulbee) Back. John worked as a Master Mechanic at Aeronca Manufacturing. He is survived by his wife Mary (Underwood) Back; four daughters, Wanda June Nohitsch, Virginia Ann Turner, Marcella Brown, Sandy Barnett; four sons, Charles Phillip Back, Ronny Bishop, Larry Back, Dennis Back; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary and Ada; two brothers, Vernon and Waldean; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three daughters, Teresa Collier, Debbie Vice, Susan Howell and two brothers, Ershel and Bluford. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 13 at the Poasttown Church of God, officiated by Reverend Kenny Brewer. Visitation will be 6-8:00 PM, Wednesday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairmound Cemetery, West Elkton.
