POWERS, Nellie age 81, of Middletown, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Atrium Medical Center. She was born January 25, 1932 in Hazel Green, KY to Sherman and Callie (Lawson) Moore. She was a homemaker. Nellie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a long time member of Stratford Heights Church of God, singing in the choir and teaching Sunday school classes. She then became a member of Healing Word Assembly of God. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Noah Powers in 1982; sister, Elba Collie; brother, Frank Moore. Nellie is survived by her children, Noah (Peggy) Powers II, Darlene (Powers) Campbell, Sharon (Tom) (Powers) Coyle, Cathy (Denny) (Powers) Moore, Brian Powers all of Middletown; grandchildren, Beth, Rachelle, Bianca, Gabe, Noah III, Jess, Betty; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol Williams of Hamilton, Emma (Bob) Hamilton, Ethel Handy both of Middletown; brother, Lee (Margie) Moore of Middletown, numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Healing Word Assembly of God. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 12:00 pm at the church with Pastor Don L.
