The following was published in The Hazel Green Herald newspaper on February 19, 1892, page 5: "Died, on Wednesday evening last, the infant son of J.B. Hollon, our County Clerk, at E. Collins', on Bear Pen Creek, about two miles from town, of croup and grip. It was about five months old. Mrs. Collins, who was a sister of Mrs. Hollon, took the child at death of its mother, which occurred when the child was about two months old." The infant was Weden Hollon, son of James Buchanan Hollon and Caroline Hollon (nee Elkins). Caroline died October 11, 1891.
