HOLLON-CALHOUN, Opal Dorothy went to be with her Lord on Friday, March 1, at her residence in Middletown. Opal was born in Lee City, Ky., on May 15, 1922, to Roe and Lura Couch. She was one of nine children. She Married Bill Hollon, in 1940, and they had six daughters. They moved from Kentucky to Ohio 1953. Bill died in 1964. In 1972, Opal married Troy Calhoun. Opal was preceded in death by both husbands and her parents, four brothers, Lexie, Wendell, Elwood, Ellsworth and Cecil Couch; two sisters Ruby Flossie Couch, one daughter, Linda Manning Rhule. She is survived by a very large, loving family - mostly all local - including five daughters; Billie Isbel (Bob); Justine Duncan, Janet Wetzel (John), Loretta Young; Judy Gomia (Mike); four step children, Tom and Mark Calhoun, Patti Hunt, Peggy Boehm; one brother, Carl Couch (Barbara); thirteen grandchildren; Shelley Titus (Bryan); Jim Short (Sandina), Jeff Short (Stella), Jeanne Duncan, David Duncan Jr.; Misty Thackeray; Julie Stoltzenburger (Ric), Johnny Wetzel (Jennifer); Wendi Cornett (Gary), Shawn Day; Vaughn Fitzpatrick (Marlena), Corey Manning, Eric Gomia; 30 great grandchildren; Peyton and Jaxon Titus; Jake and David Duncan III; Kayla Simpson (Grant); Samantha and Alex Curtis, Sarah, Andrew, Tommy, Kendra and Julia Short, Stasha and Zach Corbin; Zak Banks, Tanner Thackeray, Chelsea Stickelman, Jennifer Osborn (Brandon), Hunter Linebaugh; Kris and Samantha Wetzel; Chad, Davey and Amanda Fitzpatrick, Cody Manning; Sabrina; Brittany and Bridget Ryan; Logan and Matthew Gomia; 8 Great - great grandchildren; Breanna, Xander, and Kaydence Simpson, Hayden and Hannah Duncan; Kelsey Short, Michael and Gage Curtis, Victoria and Amarah, DaLeon Corbin. Opal's life revolved around her large family and her church. The way she lived her life had a positive influence on the lives of so many others. She will be greatly missed by all.
