ABRAMS, Nora age 77, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Liberty of Middletown where she had resided for two years. She was born March 13, 1936 in Campton, (Wolfe County) Kentucky and had lived in Middletown, Ohio for more than 50 years. While she spent most of her life as a homemaker, she was more than that to most of the people she knew over the years. She was a kindhearted person who was always willing to open her home up to someone that needed shelter and her cupboards up to any who might need a bite to eat. She treated every child in the neighborhood as one of her own. She enjoyed walking, gardening and bowling. Nora valued family and friends above all. Preceding her in death were her parents, Joel and Zeta Mae (Bowers) Banks; and her husband Arkie Abrams in 1979. She was the last of seven children. Nora is survived by one son, William Abrams; one grandson, Dylan Cisco; one granddaughter, Mackenzie Abrams; and one step grandson, James Swan. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 212 S. Broad Street, Middletown. Arrangements by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown. Published in The Middletown Journal from June 15 to June 16, 2013
