LYKINS, Charles E. age 81, of Fairborn, passed away Sunday May 19, 2013. He was born March 19, 1932 in Campton, KY, the son of the late Orville and Lillie Mae (Jenkins) Lykins. Charles retired from the City of Fairborn in 1994 after 30 years of service and he attended Victory Temple in Fairborn. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Leonard; a sister, Leona; two brothers-in-law, Eugene Adkins and Robert "Bobby" Blankenship; and a sister-in-law, Mazie "Betty" Storms. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Barbara; a daughter Loretta "Lori" (James) Denney of Fairborn; three grandchildren, Lisa, Michael, Megan; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Carles Lykins of KY; brothers-in-law, Bennie (Helen) Blankenship of New Carlisle, Billy (Sheila) Blankenship of Dayton; sisters-in-law, Letha "Bonnie" Lovejoy of Dayton, Clara McCardle of IN, and Edna Mae Blankenship of KY; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday May 24, 2013 at 12:00 noon in the Victory Temple, 2443 Valle Greene Dr., Fairborn, Pastor Ancil Carter and Pastor Tim Walden officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow in the Byron Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, Fairborn.
