Charles: Clay and Ogelene Brewer are my Uncle and Aunt....Clay was one of the dearest men that ever lived. My Aunt Ogie is still alive but has moved to the nursing home in Jackson which is run by my cousin Phillip Litteral. Clay and Ogie's son, MC and his wife, still live in the house there on 1812 I believe. I'm not really sure if Clay's brother, Charlie, is still alive or not. Charles, Green Berry Brewer's first wife, and the mother of his first seven or so children, is Zarilda Hollon. That assumption is based upon the double stone for Green Berry's grave that bears Zarilda's name. Her death is recorded on the stone as July 7, 1896 which was probably erected more than 30 years after her passing. His second, or third, wife is Martha Gibbs. The question of a wife in addition to Zerilda and Martha arises from the birth of Green Berry's eighth child, Ernest Brewer, b.22 Sept 1897. His birth is after Zerilda's death (if it is recorded correctly) and before Green's marriage to Martha Gibbs in 1899 or 1900. Who is Ernest's mother? Several researchers suggest Sarah Hollon is the mother of Earnest Brewer, but offer no source for that; Sarah is a niece to Zarilda.
