JOHNSON, Omeda age 89 of Cape Coral, FL entered into eternal rest with the Lord on September 17, 2012. Omeda passed away peacefully at HealthPark Hospital in Fort Myers, FL. Omeda was born in Wolf County, Kentucky on January 29, 1923. She and her husband Charles lived in Middletown, OH for many years before moving to Hialeah, FL in 1960. Omeda worked a variety of professions over her lifetime; however, her passion to spend time with family was of most importance. For years, Omeda loved sewing and crocheting many beautiful creations for family and friends alike. Her tremendous talent of not even needing a pattern, just a ?keen eye?, was truly amazing. Omeda greatly enjoyed the outdoors and gardening, particularly, picking those delicious oranges from the large tree in her backyard. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will deeply be missed! Omeda was preceded in death by her parents, Frank & Mary Combs; 4 brothers; 4 sisters; husband, Charles Johnson; son, Donnie Johnson. She is survived by son, Fred Johnson of Tavares, FL; daughter, Charlotte Johnson of Cape Coral, FL; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Taylor of Trenton, OH; Gladys Selby of Lebanon, TN; brother, Gene Combs of St. Petersburg, FL; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Friday, September 21, 2012 at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 2246 Wisteria Drive, Snellville, Georgia 30078. 770-979-5010, with funeral services immediately following at 2:00 PM with Dr. Alan Madden of Central Baptist Church, Lawrenceville, GA officiating.
