DALTON, Judie G. went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at her residence with Hospice of Dayton Care. She was 93 years, 5 months and 8 days old. She was born February 23, 1919 in Wolfe County, KY to Millard and Lizzie (Pelfery) Hollon. She was owner and operator of Dalton's Grocery for several years. She retired from Wolfe County Board of Education in 1990 and then moved to Ohio and went to work as a greeter at Meijer, retiring at the age of 80. She enjoyed working, quilting, cooking and travel. Her best loved place when traveling was Hawaii. She was a member of Poasttown First Church of God and she enjoyed her walk with God, loved her church family and was loved by so many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Ernie H. Dalton; sons, Rev. James C. and George Millard Dalton; daughter, Juanita Fugate, granddaughter, Margaret E. Brewer; brothers, Arlie, Elza and Arnold Hollon; sisters, Dora Osborne, Virgie Buckhanan, Lucille Combs and Della Cockerham. Judie is survived by a son, Thomas (JoAnn) Dalton of Middletown, OH; daughters, Virginia (Glen) Creech of Rogers, KY, Nora (Frank) Pippin and Mabel Fletcher both of Middletown, OH; 15 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 46 great, great grandchildren and 1 great, great, great grandchild; special niece and nephew, Pauline Lawson and George Hollon; host of other nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to send a special thank you to Hospice of Dayton for their excellent care given to our mother and family. The family would also like to thank the following pallbearers, Frank Marshall, Jim Dalton, Randy Creech, Tim Creech, Charlie Creech, Robert Fugate, Hershell Tillett, Chris Lane and the honorary pallbearers, Frank Pippin and Glen Creech. Her visitations will be held Friday, September 7th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Poasttown First Church of God in Middletown and on Saturday, September 8th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Porter & Son Funeral Home in Campton KY. The Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, September 9th at 2:00 pm at Porter & Son with Rev. Kenny Brewer and Rev. Adam Hays officiating. She will be laid to rest at Rose-Tutt-Swango Cemetery.
