I am researching Elijah and Delilah Spencer for a descendant (I come from Elijah's brother William.) Elijah's parents were James and Farabe, of Perry County. Elijah and Delilah are on the 1850 census Owsley Co (which became Wolfe.) They are living near Moses and Elizabeth (Deaton) Spencer. This is the Sandy Ridge area. I believe Delilah may have been their daughter; making her and Elijah 2nd cousins. They then moved to Powell/Menifee County. It is believed that Elijah was buried in the old Gladie Creek cemetery and then later moved when the paved road came through. Delilah is back in Wolfe County in 1880, with her children, Pherby and Robert D. She may be buried at the Ledford Cemetery at Pine Ridge. Does anyone have information about these families?
