Based on a recent DNA match, and some additional supporting research, I am now convinced beyond any reasonable doubt that Mahala Maynard can now be proven to the daughter of Charity Brewer. As many may know, this has been a subject of speculation and debate for years. Though family stories and lore abound, no documentation which meets a recognized genealogical standard of proof has ever been found to prove this. This new DNA evidence bridges this gap.
