    3. If it's near Campton, it couldn't be in Breathitt, as that would make it at least 30 miles away. My uncle was raised there, and Amos was a distant cousin. He didn't know him well, tho'. Only seen him a few times. --- On Thu, 1/27/11, acbays@mrtc.com <acbays@mrtc.com> wrote: From: acbays@mrtc.com <acbays@mrtc.com> Subject: Re: [KYWOLFE] Kenneth Brewer To: kywolfe@rootsweb.com Date: Thursday, January 27, 2011, 8:24 AM I don't think so, tho Bryants are one of my family lines.  I have heard of Puckett Bend, think maybe it is in Breathitt County. 3. I believe that Carole is correct. Five to six miles southeast of Campton, there is a geographical triple point where Wolfe, Lee and Breathitt Counties all meet. It is a rather rugged area where the Kentucky River briefly bends in and out of Wolfe County as it flows from Breathitt into Lee. This is the area known as Pelfrey's Bend populated in part by members of the Pelfrey family that settled in Breathitt; Pelfrey's live there still. It is an area where you cannot always be certain which county you are standing in. I cannot explain why, on occasion, it seems to be referred to as "Puckett's Bend". However, to the Pelfrey family it has been known as "Pelfrey's Bend" for quite a long time. The name in part, refers to the sharp bends in the Kentucky River as it snakes in and out of Wolfe. There are a number of cemeteries in that area. 3. Last week, a young lady, Alissa contacted me regarding her Stamper lineage. (William Russell Byrd and Mary Ann 'Polly' Stamper). Her parents were William D Tibbs and Judy Ann Agee. Judy's parents were Bob Agee and Ruth Pelfrey. Alissa has a sister, Donna. Alissa says their connections are in Breathitt / Wolfe Counties. Would anyone have Bob Agee and Ruth Pelfrey in their family information? Thanks, Golden -------------------------------------------------- From: "The Rice's" <billthel@mrtc.com> Sent: Thursday, January 27, 2011 4:48 PM To: <kywolfe@rootsweb.com> Subject: [KYWOLFE] Pelfrey > I believe that Carole is correct. > > Five to six miles southeast of Campton, there is a geographical triple > point > where Wolfe, Lee and Breathitt Counties all meet.
