I just found out that one of my Shackleford guys Named "Green Henry " Shackleford was living in Texas in 1920 He had been living in arkansas and was there in 1910 and he died in Mesa arizona in 1927 I wonder why he was only one to venture off to texas and arizona? It seems crazy. Are you related to "John Little" that has a antique shop in or around Harrison ark? he is a wealth of knowledge and found about him through a cousin on my pat. side Shackleford/Little is on my mat. side. cora
Hi Cora, I have corresponded with you before. I am a descendant of Greenville T. Little from Wolfe and Morgan County, Ky. His parents were the Rev. Charles Little and Charlotte [ Lottie] Bryant Little. They had 21 children together. Greenville was number 11 of the 21. Greenville T. Little married Francis Elizabeth Nickell who was a sister to one of your ancestor who married a Shackelford. Three of Elizabeth's sisters married Shackelford brothers. I can't remember all of their names right now but there was Francis called Fannie and I think Jane or Nancy Jane and a Perline that they called Line, I think that was their names. They all moved to Arkansas with the rest of the Nickell family including Elizabeth's parents, John B. Nickell and Elizabeth called Bettie or Betsy.
