SEWELL, 85 PASSES DEC. 26TH Mrs. Mattie Steele Sewell, 85, widow of Taylor Sewell, died in the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Tuesday morning, Dec. 26 after a long illness. She was a former Wolfe County school teacher and postmaster. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Pryse Garrison of Irvine and several nieces and nephews. Services were at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Shackelford Funeral Home by Rev. Doyle Thomas. Burial in the Steele Cemetery in Wolfe County. Carole
