BANKS WOLFE NATIVE, DIED APRIL 18 James Parrish Banks, 87, of LIttle Sandy died at 8:30 a.m. Friday, April 18, at the Daniel Boone Convalescent Home, Morehead. A native of Wolfe County, he was a retired farmer and a member of the Baptist Church. Born May 1, 1881, in Wolfe County, he was a son of the late Sam and Sarah Pelfrey Banks. HIs wife, Bertha, preceded him in death four years ago. He is survived by six sons, George, Raleigh, and Ossie Banks of Little Sandy, Walter Eugene of Canton, Ohio, Carl Banks of Akron, Ohio, and J.P. Banks, Jr. of Detroit, Mich; one daughter, Mrs. Maggie Wells of Route 3, West Liberty; two brothers, Ova Banks of Campton and Ossie Banks of Lackey. Funeral Sunday at 2 p.m. at Neal Howard's Creek Church, Elliott County, with Rev. Willie Ison officiating. Burial in the family cemetery at Little Sandy, Lewis and Ferguston funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Carole
