Wolfe County News - June 1968 Lloyd Herbert Flinchum was born in Wolfe County, Kentucky, May 4th, 916 and departed this life at his home in Campton, Ky, June 14th, 1968 at the age of fifty-two years one month and four days. He was the son of Jim Blaine and Missouri King Flinchum. He was united in marriage to Edna Gertrude Mayabb, October 12, 1943. To this union was born one daughter, Mary Carolyn. Herbert was a Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the First Church of God in Campton, Ky., and left a bright testimony of his faith in God and of the future life as well as life that testified of that faith. He was loved and respected by those who knew him as a friend and who dealt with him as a business man. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife and daughter and one grandaughter, Deborah Eugenia Fritz, his father, Blaine Finchum of Lee City, Ky., one uncle, two aunts and several nephews and nieces as well as other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, June 17th at the First Church of God in Campton, Ky., by Rev. Doyle Thomas and Rev. Walter Strong of Beattyville, KY.
