Wolfe County News - July 25, 1969 WOLFE NATIVE DIES IN OHIO Elmer Clayton Brewer, 55, of Middletown, Ohio died at 3:55 a.m. Monday, July 14 after a long illness. He was a native of Wolfe County and had been employed at the Dayton Frigidaire Corp for a number of years. He as a member of the Beechwood Church of God in Middletown, Ohio and was a veteran of World War II. Survivors are his wife, Ardelia May Tibbs Brewer; a son Rondall Brewer of Chatuatauqua, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Rita Lee Rose of Carlisle, Ohio; seven brothers, James Brewer of Ohio. H.C. Brewer and Dennie Brewer both of Rogers, Oakley Brewer of Campton, Elberton Brewer, Wayne Brewer, and Alvah Brewer, all of Middletown, Ohio; six sisters, Mrs. Grace Creech of Pine Ridge, Mrs. Elizabeth Adams, Mrs. Etta Watkins, and Mrs. Margaret Sparks, all of Rogers, Mrs. Ella Bush of Zachariah, and Mrs. Marie Spencer of Pine Ridge, and eight grandchildren. Funeral was conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 17 at the Rogers Baptist Church by Rev. W.D. Woodsley and Rev. Omer Spencer. Burial was in the Rogers Cemetery, Porter and Son Funeral Home in charge.
