Wolfe County News - March 4, 1969 ROBERT TYRA ROGERS DIES Robert Tyra, 69 died suddenly at his home on Ky. 11, near Rogers, Thursday. He was a native of Wolfe County. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Edith Hollon Tyra; one son, Dorsie Tyra, Long Island, N.Y.; one daughter, Mrs. Maxine Day, Carlisle, Ohio; three step-daughters, Mrs. Betty White, Mrs. Ernestine Hrosse? And Mrs. June Brewer, all of Dayton, Ohio; One brother, Dewey Tyra, Vortex; six sisters, Mrs. Grace Combs, Campton, Mrs. Mary Trent of Whitesburg, Mrs. Hazel Watkins, Winchester, Mrs. Ruby Jibney of Arlington, Texas and Mrs. Alma Perry, Pine Ridge. Funeral Services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Rosedale Church by Rev. Omer Spencer. Burial was in Tyra Cemetery, Holly, with Porter and Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Carole
