    1. Re: [KYWOLFE-L] Ambrose Allison Rose
    2. Wow, the information contained herein on Ambrose Allison Rose helps clear up LOTS of things on his family! I had his name in my database incorrectly as "Amos B. Rose". I didn't document my sources when I first started genealogy, so I don't know from whom/where I got that info. Certainly the census info sent herein clears up who he REALLY was! Now I can give a little insight for Mary with her question! Ambrose Allison Rose's father, Benjamin Franklin Rose had a brother named Allison Rose. Their parents were James Robert Rose, b. 4/2/1818, d. 4/7/1897 and Henrietta "Haneyetta" or "Mahala" McQuinn, b. 4/23/1818, d. 8/2/1870. The Rose side were descendants of John Rose and Rebekah Bowen via their son, Robert W. Rose and Esther Moore. Henrietta McQuinn's parents are as far back as I go on her side, and I do not have her mother's last name. Her parents were Alexander McQuinn, b. abt. 1784 and Lavisa. Alexander and Lavisa were married abt. 1806. I don't have any record of the surname "Allison" associated with Ambrose Allison Rose, but that doesn't mean there isn't any since we don't know Lavisa's family. Hope this helps a little! Maybe between us all, we'll be able to put this puzzle together!
