Wolfe County News - Aug. 4, 1967 CARL E. ROGERS DIES SATURDAY Carl E. Rogers, 72, of 425 Park Avenue, died at 6:20 a.m. Satruday at Good Samaritan Hospital. Born in Wolfe County, he was a son of the late George M. and Rossia Horton Martin. He was a former employee of the Harvey Coal Company, Harveyton, where he worked for 25 years, and the Blue Grass Ordinance Depot, Richmond where he was employed for 18 years before he retired in 1963. Mr. Rogers was a member of the Maxwell Street Presbyterian Church, and Masonic Lodge No 676, F&AM. Hazard. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Millie Hagins Rogers, Lexington; three sons, Charles E. Rogers, Bowling Green, Carl F. Rogers, Hazard, and George L. Rogers, Lexington; a daughter Mrs. J.W. Shelton, Orlando, Florida; three brothers, Herbert Rogers, Covington; Bishop Rogers, Fairfax, VA., and Roger B. Rogers, Lewisburg, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Golden Profitt, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs. Estes Owens, Sabolah, GA. Services Monday at the Kerr Brothers Funeral Home by the Rev. Murphy D. Miller and the Rev. Gault-Robertson. Burial in the Hagins Cemetery at Quicksand. Masonic services held at 2 p.m. Monday at the grave. Mr. Rogers had several relatives in Wolfe and adjoining counties, including two aunts, Mrs. Mida Wyant and Mrs. Lizzie Drake of Campton. Carole
