Wolfe County News - July 1968 ROBT. RUSSELL PASSES JUNE 28 Robert Russell, 86, died at 2 p.m. Friday, June 28, at the home of a son, Taylor Russell, Campton, Route 1, after a long illness. A native of Wolfe County, he was a retired farmer and attended the Church of God. Other survivors are his wife, Mrs. Pearlie Cable Russell, Campton, Route 1, and Buford Russell, Winchester; two daughters, Mrs. David Penny, Loveland, Ohio, and Mrs. Vernal Creech Rogers; 21 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Church of God, Campton, by Rev. Doyle Thomas. Burial was in the Cable Cemetery. The Shackelford Funeral Home in charge. Carole Note: I don't think this obit is correct. There were at least three sons, Taylor, Buford and Ruford.
