Wolfe County News - Aug. 19, 1964 JOHN T. SPENCER PASSES AUG. 17 John Terry Spencer, 83, died at 3 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Fairy Cox, at Campton. Other survivors are his wife, Mrs. Roey Tolson Spencer of Campton; three other daughters, Mrs. Rushie Collins, Germantown, Ohio, Mrs. Elizabeth Buchanan of Trent, and Mrs. Gladys Sharp of Dayton, Ohio; two sons, Lona Spencer and Orville Spencer, both of Campton; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; two brothers, Asa Spencer, Middletown, Ohio and Mitchell Spencer of Mariba; and two sisters, Mrs. Callie Little of Dayton, and Mrs. Nettie Wells of Florida. Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, at the Rocky Branch Mission Church with Rev. Omer Spencer officiating. Burial was in the Tolson Cemetery in the Callaboose with Shackelford Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Carole
