Wolfe County News - July 6, 1966 ROSCOE TYLER WOLFE NATIVE, DIES AT HOME Winchester- Roscoe Tyler, 76, Winchester, retired employee at the Tennesseee Gas Transmission Co., died at 7 a.m. Sunday, July 3 at his home on the Muddy Creek Road after a long illness. He was a native of Wolfe County and a member of the Church of God. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Hazel Tyler, four sons, Elmer Tyler, Clark County; Norman Tyler, Winchester; William B. Tyler, Clark County, and Cecil P. Tyler, Slade; five daughters, Mrs. Ruth Hughes, Arkansas; Mrs. Blanche Ragland, Mrs. Monell Neely, and Mrs. Marcella Henry, all of Winchester, and Mrs. Robert Howard, Clark County; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Hoopergarney, Indiana, 18 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Scobee Funeral Home by the Rev. Harold Conrad. Burial was in the Evans Cemetery in Campton. Bearers were Arthur Campbell, Brown Epperson, J.P. Watts, George Whisman, Earl Morris and Gene Scott. Honorary bearers were Stephen Kincaid, Stanley Lumpkins, Tom Harmon, Boone Halton, the Rev. C.I. Snowden, O.L. Miler and Gene Morris. Carole
