Wolfe County News - April 20, 1966 CAMPTON MAN PASSED 12TH John Larkin Patton, 71, died at his home Tuesday afternoon, April 12, after a long illness. He was a native of Wolfe County, and a member of the Church of God. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Bertha Patton; a son, Vernon Patton, Eaton, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. Geneda Linkous of Campton; seven sisters, Mrs. Dixie Rowe, Muskegon, Mich; Mrs. Millie Allen, Hebron; Mrs. Esther Harris, Campton; Mrs. Anna Belle Campbell and Mrs. Cora Buchanan, Baptist; Mrs. Alma Devine, Ludlow, and Mrs. Viola Biddle, Burlington; seven grandchildren and a great grandchild. Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Church of God by Rev. Leonard Faulkner and Rev. C.L. Thompson. Burial was in the Evans Cemetery. Porter and Son Funeral Home had charge.
