Wolfe County News - Feb. 26, 1964 FLORENCE HANKS PASSES AT HOME Mrs. Florence Hanks, 76, died at her home at Campton at 8:30 p.m. February 19 after a long illness. She attended the Methodist Church and was a member of the Daughters of America. Surviving are two sons, Boone Hanks, Lexington, C.M. Hanks, Morning View; one daughter, Mrs. Steve Rose, Campton; one sister, Mrs. Nancy McQuinn of Lexington, and six grandchildren. Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Methodist Church by Rev. J.H. Burton. Burial was in the Evans Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Riley Harris, Jim Swope, C.F. Roberts, Omer Catron, Lester Collier and Steve W. Murphy. Honorary bearers were Buford Horton, James Allen, James Cable, Ray Oliver, George Bumgardner and Ray Hanks. Carole
