Wolfe County News - Jan. 31, 1969 WOLFE COUNTY NATIVE PASSES Charles A. Lawson, 69, of Route 1 Verona, Ky., died at his home Friday, Jan. 24, following a long illness. He was a Wolfe County native, son of the late Dan and Lizzie Lawson. Survivors are his wife, Josie Halsey Lawson; three daughters, Virgie Story of Lexington, Eunice Lindon of Stanton, and Betty Jo Lawson of Verona; five sons, Billy, Walter, Beunell, and Willard Lawson of Warsaw, Ky., and Charles Taylor of Dayton, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Jerry D. Halsey of Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. William D. Cundiff of Wilmington, Ohio, Lucy Lawson of Muncie, Ind., and Mrs. Frank Taulbee of Cleveland, Ohio, and 23 grandchildren. Funeral and burial were at Verona.
