Wolfe County News - Oct. 17, 1969 KOREA MAN, 61, DIES OF BURNS Joe Brewer, 61, of Korea died at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10 in an ambulance enroute to a Lexington hospital. Fayette County Coroner Chester Hager said death was due to third degree burns Brewer suffered in an accident near home. Born Sept. 20, 1908. in Breathitt County, he was a son of the late Andrew and Fannie Graham Brewer. He was a farmer. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Liza Hampton Brewer; three sons, Donald and Dean Brewer of the U.S. Air Force and Jesse Brewer of Korea; two daughters, Mrs. Jo Ann Pugh of Clarksville, Ind., and Mrs. Lola Patrick of Korea; six sisters, including Mrs. Ora Lee Nickell of Daysboro; two step-sisters, and nine grandchildren. Funeral was conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Big Woods Church of Christ at Wellington by Rev. Glen Lawson. Burial was in the Bach Cemetery at Korea, Herald and Stewart Funeral Home in charge. Carole
