Wolfe County News - Sept. 5, 1969 MRS. SPENCER DIES SUDDENLY Rebecca Spencer, 88, died suddenly at her home at Pine Ridge at 9:10 p.m. Monday from a heart attack. She was a native of Letcher County and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. She is survived by four sons, Arlie Spencer of Middletown, Ohio, James C. Spencer of Revenna, Ralph Spencer of Indianapolis, Ind., and Avery Chenault, Pine Ridge; one daughter, Mrs. Lydia Chenault of Pine Ridge, one brother, Jason Cox of Indiana, one sister, Mrs. Cora S. Back of Blackley, Kentucky, 20 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the Porter and Son Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, by Rev. N.J. Spencer. Burial was in the Spencer Cemetery at Pine Ridge. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Porter and Son Funeral Home, Campton. Carole
