ED CARROLL DIES JUNE 2 Mrs. Lula Jane Carroll, 73, wife of Ed Carroll of Zachariah, died June 2 at Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington, after a three months illness. She was a native and life-long resident of Wolfe County, and member of Pine Hill Baptist Church. Survivors are her husband, Ed Carroll, Zachariah, and a daughter, Wilma Jean Carroll, Oak Ridge, Tenn., her mother, Mrs. W.W. (Chub) Drake, Primrose, six sisters, Mrs. Leatha Creech, Fowlersville, Mich., Mrs. Pearl Dunaway, Primrose, Mrs. Sally Abner, Winchester, Mrs. Doll Abner and Mrs. Josie Chrisman, Vada; and Mrs. Cinda Feltner, Hazard; two brothers, Dudley Drake, Vada, and Will Drake, Campton. Funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Shackelford Funeral Home by Rev. Smith and Rev. Ben Cain. Carole.
