Wolfe County News - March 11, 1964 PINE RIDGE MAN DIES MARCH 4TH Derious Townsand, 88, of Pine Ridge died at the West Liberty Hospital at 1:10 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, after a short illness. He was a native of Powell County. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mary Townsand; five sons, Joe and Shelby Townsand of Georgetown, and Mirl, Vernon D., and Howard Townsand of Campton; four daughters, Mrs. Hazel Jones of Winchester, Mrs. Nannie Mae Lane, Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Margaret Dickerson of Georgetown, and Mrs. Nellie Fae Perry, Campton; two sisters, Mrs. Lula Hatfield, Wiley, Texas, and Mrs. Cora Hale, Kingsport, Tenn., and 20 grandchildren. Services were conducted at the Church of God at Tar Ridge at 2 p.m. Friday by Rev. Omer Spencer. Burial was in the Tar Ridge Cemetery, Porter and Son Funeral Home had charge. Carole
