Estella SPENCER, age 90, devoted mother, grandmother and homemaker went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 16, 2007 at Willow Knoll Retirement Community. She was born June 6, 1916 to Christopher and Lula (Ross) Osborne in Breathitt County, KY and grew up in Compton, KY. She attended First Baptist Church in Trenton and worked 30 years as a cook and waitress for several restaurants and was an avid quilter and gardener. She was preceded in death by her husband Darley Spencer in 1961; her parents; son, Lester Spencer; brothers, Walter "Otto" and Charles Osborne; sisters, Roxie Green and Iva Campbell. Estella is survived by daughters, Reva Pierce of Joshua Tree, CA, Betty Jean (Bob) Jessup of Spaulding, Canada, Wanda Lee (Patrick) Keefe of Blanchester, OH, Shirley (Bob) Gassaway of Pamplico, SC, Darlene Mathews of Myrtle Beach, SC; sons, Wendell Spencer of Franklin, OH and Paul (Jane) Spencer of Franklin, OH, Pastor Keith (Sheri) Spencer of Trenton, OH, Gregory (Lisa) Spencer of Yucca Valley, CA, daughter-in-law, Donna Spencer of Yucca Valley, CA; 23 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren; sister, Jewel Stevens of Middletown, OH. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 21, 2007 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Baker-Stevens Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life services will be Thursday, March 22, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with her sons, Pastor Keith Spencer and Elder Greg Spencer officiating.
