    3. Wolfe County News - March 1963 Edward Rowland Mayabb, the s/o John and Elizabeth Landreth Mayabb, was born Oct. 23, 1879 in Morgan County, Ky. He departed this life March 4, 1963 at Campton at the age of eighty-three years, four months and nine days. He was united in marriage to Mary Belle Cecil Feb. 21, 1900. To this union were born ten children, six of whom survive: three sons, O.R. Mayabb of Middletown, Ohio, Omer Mayabb of Dayton, Ohio, and Elzie Mayabb of Campton, with whom he made his home and three daughters, Mrs. Russell Lowe of Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Cecil Hurt of Mize, and Mrs. Herbert Flinchum of Campton. Two sons, Jewell and Estill Mayabb of Dayton, Ohio, preceded him in death a few years ago. A son and daughter died in infancy. He leaves to mourn his loss besides his children, nineteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, two brothers, Joe Mayabb of West Liberty, Route 1, and Kelse Mayabb of Ezel. His wife preceded him in death almost fifteen years ago. Funeral was conducted Wednesday, March 6 at 1p.m. in the First Church of God in Campton of which he was a member. Officiating ministers were Rev. Ethan Duff, Richmond, pastor of the church, and Rev. Coy Rigney of Livia; Singing was by the First Church of God Choir and the Sewell and Lacy Quartet of Daysboro. Mrs. Omer Catron was at the piano. He was laid to rest in Old Grassy Cemetery at Mize beside his wife in the family where he awaits the coming of one who promised, "In my Father's House are many mansions; If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." Active pallbearers were his grandsons and grandson-in-law, Darrell and Kenneth Mayabb of Dayton, Ohio, Olen Hurt of Mize, Danny Orrill of Dayton, Ohio, and Bob Fritz and Lloyd Dunn of Campton.
