Wolfe County News, July 3, 1957 FUNERAL RITES CONDUCTED FOR GEORGE HOLLON George W. Hollon, age 86, died June 25, about 3 p.m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Flossie Cundiff of Landsaw, KY. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by one son, Aleck Sterling Hollon, Ohio; five daughters, in addition to Mrs. Cundiff other daughters are: Mrs. Barbara Rose, Eldorado, Ohio, Mrs. Stella Rhodes, Lebanon, Ohio; Mrs. Elsie Sewell, Georgetown, KY. and Mrs. Clema Profitt, Dayton, Ohio. Also three brothers, Jack Hollon, of Campton; Bob Hollon, Landaw; and Henry Hollon, Baptist. Two sisters; Mrs. Rosemary Campbell and Mrs. Frances Hounshul, both of Baptist, sixteen grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Thursday morning, June 27 at 10 :00 a.m. at the Rosedale Church with Rev. Johnny Dalton and Rev. Lump Osborne officiating. Burial was in the Hollon and Gambell cemetery at Baptist. The body remained at the B.F. Porter and Son Funeral Home in Campton until the funeral. Carole
