Wolfe County News - Feb. 1958 LENGTHY ILLNESS CLAIMS LIFE OF DON CREECH, 90 Don Creech, 90, retired farmer and Missionary Baptist minister, formerly of Powell County, died Monday, morning at the home of a son, Elijah Creech, at Deputy, Ind., following a long illness. He was member of the Morris Creek Baptist Church, Stanton, Masonic Lodge and for 30 years was pastor at Baptist churches in Powell, Wolfe and Estill counties. Survivors inlcude three other sons, Liberty Creech, Deputy; Wesley Creech, Versailles, and Alfred Creech, Newport; three daughters, Mrs. Steve Brewer, Campton; Mrs. Johnny Hatton, Versailles and Mrs. Tilford Abner, Stanton; two brothers, Jasper Creech, Wolfe County and Alfred Creech, Menifee County; six sisters, Mrs. Eliza Gross?, Whitesburg; Mrs. Rosalyne Centers, Middletown, Ohio, Mrs. Polly Centers, Hazel Green; Mrs. Louise Childers, Ohio; Mrs. Martha Childers and Mrs. Eva Long both of Illinois; 77 grandchildren and 121 great grandchildren. Graveside services and burial were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Stanton Cemetery. Carole
