Wolfe County News - Sept. 12, 1962 DIES WHEN STRUCK BY CAR SEPT. 7TH Miss Mildred Tyra Stamper, 42 died Friday evening, Sept. 7th as a result of injuries received when struck down by an auto in Detroit, Mich. She was a native of Wolfe County. She is survived by three daughters, Misses Anna Ruth and Debbie Rose Stamper and Mrs. Patricia Sue McLain all of Winchester, Ky., three brothers, Ernie and Herbert Tyra, Pine Ridge, and Herman Tyra, Danville, three sisters: Mrs. Blanche Buchanan, Metropolis, Ill, Mrs. Mabel Buchanan, Morganfield, and Mrs. Lingle Ward, Detroit, Mich. Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, at the Campton Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff H. Burton and C.C. Osborne officiating. Burial was in the Evans Cemetery with Porter & Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Carole
