Wolfe County News - April 1963 Funeral services for Mrs. Nettie Cope Gosney, 72, Kiefer, Oklahoma, native Wolfe Countian, were held April 18 in Kiefer. She had been in ill health for several months. Mrs. Gosney, d/o the late Mr. and Mrs. Ed Cope, was born in Wolfe County, Jan. 16, 1891. She was married to Jim Gosney in 1907 and they moved to Oklahoma in 1909. He preceded her in death in 1956. She was a member of the Christian Church and Eastern Star. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Hilda Fitzpatrick, Sapulpa, Okla., Miss June Gosney, Tulsa; and Mrs. Betty Thompson, Tulsa; three sons, Jim Gosney and John Gosney, Bethany, Oklahoma, and Jack Gosney, Keller; two sisters, Mrs. Carmen Davis, Tulsa, and Mrs. Mina Reed, Huntington Park, Calif.; two brothers, Pete Cope, Houston, Texas and Orlon Cope, Holdenville, Oklahoma; 15 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two nieces in Wolfe County, Mrs. Ezra Manning and Mrs. Arkill Hollon. Interment was in the South Heights Cemetery, Sapulpa. Carole
